What inspires your room? A common dilemma from just about everyone I encounter is, where do I start? It seems to be the million dollar question… So here it is: AN ANSWER! Every designer is going to share their perspective on how to approach this question, of course that’s what keeps things interesting! But, here’s MY solution. 

Pick one single home decor detail. For example: In a bedroom it could be a headboard style or a favorite color that can set the mood in a big way. Or maybe it’s a textile (fabric), or a favorite painting or picture. So basic! That’s your starting point. From here, we move to style—Are you traditional? Contemporary? Either way, once you can pin-point which design style you lean more toward, you can combine that w/ your ”design element” and base your entire room off of it.  Check out a few of these pictures for some inspiration…
