One of the HOTTEST patterns in the design world right now has resurfaced from it’s ancient roots — Ikat! We recently selected an amazing Red & White Ikat Bench for a current client of ours and she loves it too! We can’t wait to see it in her home.

This flavorful pattern is actually the result of a very difficult type of weave; A weaving process developed in numerous countries, but specifically familiar to pre-Colombian Central and South American cultures. Threads are tied in various knots where they are dyed and then untied and woven into cloth. The pattern is determined by where the knots are placed before the string is even dyed!

This pattern is not just exclusive to Interior Design rather, it is used in all areas of design; The Fashion Industry is a big supporter! As we all know..Interior Design and Fashion usually follow one another quite closely.
